Url Prefix

Url Prefix is an address prefix which will be added automatically in front of url which is no prefix such as 'http://', Many browser hijacker will change this prefix to its own server, So you always get redirected to their site when you forget to type the prefix. This section will scan all default prefixes and mark all bad prefixes. Also you can restore it to the default.

Fix a bad Url Prefix

If you type a url in IE address bar without "www", for example, you type "google.com", but your IE take you to another site other than google. This is because your default Url Prefix is modified by some hijacker.

If every time when you type a url in IE address bar even with "www", your IE always take you to another site, This is because your Url Prefix is modified by some hijacker.

Steps to fix a bad Url Prefix:

1. Entry 'Url Prefix' tab in 'Detail' dialog

2. Fix all items in red
